History of Educational Leasing for the UN Plaza
The UN Plaza is defined by the United Nations Secretariat Building which overlooks the East River. A number of renowned architects submitted their designs for what would become the future United Nations Headquarters. Initial plans were ambitious, with one architect proposing an entire airport to accommodate the United Nations headquarters. The current iteration was chosen, a still impressive but much less ambitious design than the submitted proposals. The Plaza is imbued with meaning due to the significance of the United Nations mission to the world.
